Re: Vapor lock
Jack, 81 is not that hot and your bike is in good shape. Usually when the "cool" gas comes out of the tank the vaporlock is gone after a couple of hundred yards of driving again. At least that is my personal experience. My guess is that you still have a problem because of the bad gas you h...

Re: New Web Site Is Up!!!!
Nice site, but the dealer list is a joke. Go to the new ChopperCity website and try to find anything about Boss Hoss. Or try to find SwitzerMotors in Oronto. Still two dealers in Denmark listed but there is only one who also has taken over Sweden which is still listed. Where is Barry? And the new ta...

Damn Bill. This is the first time since a couple of years that we are going to miss BikeWeek. We will come in by end of March but not early enough for BikeWeek.
Have fun my friend; I am sure you will love it.

Re: Fork oil
My 502 had inverted forks.
Sorry but I dont remember how much oil Cologne put in in total to "overfill" them.![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)

Re: Fork oil
Ask in Cologne. I had my forks redone and they overfilled them on purpose (500ml on each side???) and used a higher (stiffer) W-Grade.
After that I had a all new and better riding bike. Really recommend it

it can be done on a one by one basis. BUT: it takes a lot of time, lots of (bribing) money and very good connections knowing the right people. There is also a Vanquish with a German licence plate. That machine came from Belgium to the Netherlands where it took two years and the above said to get a p...

Re: Another new owner for the BH factory
I am amazed at how the company keeps changing owners. It really needs more customers and a lower overhead more than anything else. I wish them the best but I'm not very optimistic. I also think if envoirmentalists have their way all V8 bikes and cars will be outlawed in this country. I see the same...

Re: New Winters Transmission
The writeup describes in detail why the Winters is so much better than the Nesco. You can even make a burnout in reverse because it is a true gear driven trans that runs a lot cooler. It does not care if you are in first or second gear; so you play in first and cruise at any speed in second. I confi...

Re: New Winters Transmission
I heard of the first guys here in Germany getting one. Heard (which means I dont know !!!) something about 12.000€. Considering the taxes, shipping etc. that should be around 10.000US$. Make sure you get one with the latest upgrade. They did one more change this spring to them to make them foolproof...

Re: Fuel Filter
I bought exactly this type of glas filter a couple of years ago because I liked to be able to see if it is dirty or so. I never installed it because that piece of crap was leaking from the first second. Never got it thight and also the construction is slowing down the flow of fuel. That filter is cu...

Gordon,
there are two different Pingels out there. The factory usually uses the one without the reserve position. I never understood why....
If you want reserve you have to buy a new one and change it.

I have "mesured" it by going up and down in front of a gas station. There were 1.3 Gallons left in my tank.

I am not the expert here but as far as I know a fuel injected engine runs hotter than a carburated one.
On my Chevy Tahoe the temp gauge is centered at 210 and it shows 210 normally.

Re: Condoms - Are They Really Necessary?
Bill,
I think they are just to protect the bulbs from fingerprints (Sweat !!!) when installing them. Sweat (acid !!!) is no good on halogen bulbs. Take them off once the the bulb is seated firmly in the socket.
This advice is for bulbs only![Idea ](./images/smilies/icon_idea.gif)
