Re: So What Is The Best Modification You have Done To Your Bike,

The best mod I have done (and there are very many) would have to be this: http://bosshosshelp.com/Menu%20Items/Motor/crankpulley/crankpulley.htm Then scroll to the bottom of the page. The old pulley adapter has pissed me off more times than I care to count but it is now a non issue. I don't even thi...

Re: Rocky Mountain Boss Hoss Cycles

I've been riding a long time and always enjoyed the big long trips and still do today. But remembering back to the old harley days. I remember having to basically "herd" the bike down the road. You always had to run at WOT to pass another car or to pull a hill. But at the same time I could...

Harold,

Yes, that would be him. There aren't many bikes around that will light up like that one.

10 minute Boss Hoss and R1 Video

We get a bunch of oilfield type guys together every Thursday afternoon all summer long and do a ride out into the countryside somewhere. Anyway this new guy showed up on an R1 Yamaha with a very cool video camera mounted inside his helmet. He had never seen a Boss Hoss up close before and of course ...

Re: Boss Hoss Videos

Hey Shane, The second video you posted, where the guy with the BB ran out of gas: The bike is plated in British Columbia in Canada. The area where he was looks very much like the highway between Kelowna and Penticton in British Columbia. The saddlebags are exactly what Ernie Beadle sells from Boss H...

Re: Grumpy, Jen, and Wag

LaCrosse is always a great time and as you can see from the picture of Wildman, Geezer and me part of the proof is there. Wildman, the ride with you was great and I didn't realize your bike had some wheel balance problems. I just assumed everything was cool. I made it to Minot that evening, rain sho...

The Next Rally in the Rockies, 2009

Hey International V8 Riders, As most of you know who come to this site, we held a Rally in the Rockies here in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada lst year and we'll do again this year from July 29 to Aug 1. I've blocked 10 rooms at this point at the same motel as last year, which is the Super 8 in Cochrane, ...

Re: DAYTONA Thoughts...

Again, Daytona was great! Jenn and I love going there in the middle of winter to escape the cold weather for a couple weeks and as well to hang out with all the V8 people we meet there. Unfortunately we had to leave for home on the last Friday and missed the big party at Billy and Phylis' place. We ...

The 2009 Rally in the Rockies

I did a little survey on the dot com site to see if we should have another rally up here in Cochrane, Alberta , Canada. I think everyone who replied thinks we should do it again this year so, based on that we will. I think last year we had 17 Boss Hosses show up along with quite a few other brands o...

Re: DAYTONA BIKE WEEK '09

Update from Bryan, Sorry guys but I get busy and don't get to play here as often as I would like to. Els, yes I get to both sites but usually only time to read the posts and that's about it. Anyway, as you read, the bike now lives once again. I got it completely finished a few nights ago and I can't...

I will be there again 8-) This is a real fun smoky party for you guys who haven't been there yet. Make sure you leave enough rubber on the back to make sure you get home. Two years ago I had to stop in South Dakota and get a new tire put on half way home. Just not enough left to make it all ...

Els and Mike, I hired this guy to build it the last time because I didn't have the time. So now, I am making the time and with the help of my friend Bruce (licenced journeyman heavy duty mechanic) and also one of the wizziest guys I know, we will build it and it will be nothing short of perfect when...

Re: DAYTONA BIKE WEEK '09

Sorry Gents, been busy with work etc. and not much time to play here. I got the engine pulled out and apart. The front cam bearing was missing and laying in the pan all chewed up and in 3 peices, along with a whole lot of metal that went into the filter and through the main bearings. Fortunately the...

Re: DAYTONA BIKE WEEK '09

Bryan, I heard about your mishap. That sucks but you've got plenty of time before Daytona. Pulling it apart may give you some other "opportunities" as far as performance :? . I think you got some of the stroker guys worried. There's no need as these small block stroker motors have been ki...

Jennifer and I will check into the Tropic Shores once again from Feb 21 thru March 7. The plan is to ship my bike this time and have some fun. I'll have my work cut out for me getting the bike ready in time with a big cam bearing problem in the engine at the moment. Some days I think things like thi...

Daryl,

It was a long time ago but I seem to recall about 1 1/4 turns from the time the load come on to the spring. However I think this will vary from one carb to the next.

Hey Gents, I guess I'm living proof that I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer some days, because I did just what you're talking about. When I installed a manual choke on my carb I assumed the vacuum pot controlled the automatic choke action, so I took the pot off and threw it out. I didn'...

Re: Rally in the Rockies '08

Hey Mike, Thanks for posting the info on the rally. The picture is of Morraine Lake with the mountains behind it, about 10 miles from Lake Louise. I sent it to Chad at the Boss Hoss mag and he kind of merged it with the bike and there it is. Then he was kind enough to give it a whole page in the Jan...
