Re: How about a new V8 bike event?

Thanks Shane, appreciate the update. Having been to My-am-uh not too long ago, I recall numerous places to stay and most were modern and very affordable. Nothing's too far there so even if the casino runs out of room, there's plenty around. I wonder how many of the 80 you mention will be in an RV :?...

Re: How about a new V8 bike event?

I was just talking to some of the S. Florida guys about that a few days back. They're going to try and not wonder too much by getting a transport company to haul half dozen or so out there and then they'd fly. It's a bit over 1,500 miles so I don't blame them. Having to deal with I-75 or I-95 takes ...

Re: Headlight Modulators

Ok guys, I'm one of those grit your teeth types with the modulators. Grrrrrr  The reason I grit is the same reason you're using. They are VERY visible and in many riding situations, they would have to add a good degree of safety. That's something no one can bitch about. I think about all the o...

Re: New look V8Bikers Homepage!

Thanks for what you did guys. I used to always check tech sections before "general" on past boards but I too found it to be cumbersome and have avoided it as a result. This will steer me right back to it. Seems your continued tweaking makes the site better and better. Carb Mike...what can ...

Re: Wildman's V8Biker pic of the day

Shane, He must have some bling giving him 30 more hp than mine than. It's possible as David's first DART had 500 hp but more torque. The cam specs or intake can do a +/- either way that much hp. I hope everyone noted that my comment was sarcastic. The motor and color are just like my 2 wheeler. I tr...

Re: How about a new V8 bike event?

Els... Maybe I can talk you into taking it out and twisting it`s tail a bit. You have a lot of 502 seat time and I`d like some input. Tommy, I haven't had the pleasure of riding a big block in a few years now. I'd love the opportunity, however, it would be conditional on you jumping aboar...

Re: How about a new V8 bike event?

WM, I didn't look at the time frames so I don't know when they were posted. I've only been to that site twice and the second time was because a good bud was pretty pissed at the posts regarding this rally and sent me the link to see what was going on. I've never posted there as my politically correc...

Re: How about a new V8 bike event?

Lot of action on the .com site about this event I see. Wish there was more going on here with it but that's ok. Considering some of what's posted, I don't miss it. "Vendors"...you gotta be fucking kidding. Someone (Clint) actually wants vendors? :? There's plenty of cheap bling on the inte...

Re: Wildman's V8Biker pic of the day

Glad you pointed that out. I thought it was a normal sized bike and an incredibly good looking midget. I really like the 'Pic of the Day' to include riders that look best in high heels.

Els... It will be great to finally get to meet you along with your crew... We are riding. I don`t own a trailer mostly because I would be tempted to miss out on some seat time. Re: How about a new V8 bike event?

Els, I just hate it when I try to plan that far ahead and then things work against me and I have to cancel. I have every intention of being there and am also going to Oklahoma soon after the first to party with several of our buddies here. See you in May. WM That's why I'm pretty psyched about this...

Re: When is it acceptable to use the words "Oh Sheet"

Although "oh sheet" would be the first words out of someone's mouth on that one, the end result is more appropriately "fugly".

WM, since when does the king of f#*k that f#%cking f^*kity f#^k screw around with "sheet" instead of "shit"?

Jack Steve knows his exact whereabouts but I think he's on the west coast back working with the engineering outfit he used to be with prior to the V8 bike adventure (Breedlove Motor Works, a.k.a "BMW"). My understanding is he's out of the V8 bike world these days at least for the time bein...

Re: Wildman's V8Biker pic of the day

Olaf, That picture of the computer screen and you holding the clock is a riot! Too funny :D If your buddy who has the 280 on his big block said that, he is yanking your chain or the roads in Germany are MUCH better than here. Once you lean it to a certain point, it's ready to fall over. Where roads ...

Re: Wildman's V8Biker pic of the day

Olaf, Wow, did that bring back old memories! That was the 280 Sumitomo I experimented with. It was the most miserable handling bike I had ever ridden with that decision. Had pretty good traction at the track but was terrible especially with high speed turns. I scared a few guys riding next to me go...

Re: How about a new V8 bike event?

David, This is really great news to me for a few reasons. Re: When is the F word acceptable? From V8EyeDoc on Yahoo

Jack, I was thinking about that some time ago. Trying to recall how many guys "disappeared" as you say. Was wondering if they just don't use the forums or if they sold the bikes. I guess some of both. Unlike a lot of toys where there's the infatuation period and then the burn out or garage...

Re: When is the F word acceptable? From V8EyeDoc on Yahoo

Ha ha ha, what a nice flashback. 8-) Ken would say what he thought and was sometimes "out there" but I enjoyed that forum and just about everyone's chatter quite a bit. I remember Ken getting involved with a winter "project" that was a new wire harness and complete rewiring his B...
