Re: Service restored to V8Bikers.Net
Uhhh ohhh, you did it now Jack. I talk with Neil very regularly and now I'm going to have to kneel and kiss the Pope's ring when I next see him. That's sure to swell his head although there's no denying it...he's almost as smart as me... ...just kidding Neil! You're the head genious and I admit to b...

Re: V8Chopper service?
WM, I didn't get a service manual but I got something better. Any questions I have had (very few), I call up Oklahoma and they would walk me right through a process. Having had 5 Bosses and now my 2nd V8Chopper, I can testify that they are infinitely easier to work on, much better engineering. I thi...

Re: Service restored to V8Bikers.Net
Jack, can you imagine if ol' Fred S. were still in the group?! We'd have autopilots and self diagnostic electronics that we could probably get the parts at the local hardware store and do ourselves in the garage. Talk about electronics and a shade tree genious...

Naaa... Most know where to go for the techy stuff... Keep it real and raw I say. I wouldn`t change a thing. Right on Tom! Couldn't agree more with your statement! I also like what Jack D. wrote. I do tend to forget and I'm pretty critical and cynical of old tire/oil/windshield type stuff but the ne...

Re: Geezers Geezerex
That's pretty darn cool although...it would seem more like a Geezermobile if there was a big ass blower or nitrous bottles or sumptin' over the top. 8-) Excuse me while I take a slug of some good NC "shine". Conjuring up a picture of Geezer in pink panties is more than I can stomach sober...

Re: Els V8 Choppa for sale
Ricky, I've never been an eBay guy and have heard all the shit about scammers and such so I've just shy away. I've used Cycle Trader before and the online process was pretty quick and easy. Recently sold a BMW and a Gixxer 1000 that way. I'm only half ass serious about selling the chopper. As you k...

WM, At the risk of oversimplifying here, I'll give you a few thumbnail versions answering your questions regarding the tranny. I welcome any of the other V8Chopper guys to check in and enhance them (Dave, Chris, Neil, etc)... There is no frame to split, none of the grusome BS I used to go through o...

Re: Ricky Retro's New Chopper!
Jimbo, Wait 'til you see that bike in the flesh. It is awesome! I had told Ricky originally that the pictures from Sturgis were cool but when I saw it in the trailer just before Stan delivered it to Ricky, it was outstanding. It is really cool to see Stan and V8Choppers take things to this level. T...

Re: Els V8 Choppa for sale
Gents, Hello and sorry I've been off the site so damn long! I tried to get on last week but it was down (story of my life) and just got in from a kick ass ride, log on here, and look at all this chatter! My big block days are probably over as far as bikes. Smaller, more streamlined, lighter...

Ricky, I usually tell them to show some tits before they strattle mine, however, that scene you show is definitely A-ok. 8-) Having talked to Wildman tonight and Jimbo regularly, it sure would be good if the core group of this board could all get together at one of the venues. Looks like a number o...

Ricky, I haven't posted for quite some time but wanted to make a comment or two about your bike. All the pictures were interesting but I came away thinking in s...

Ron,
After your troubles, I doubt anyone on this board or the other would screw with that shop. If they do, shame on them. It's good to know where the crap businesses are although unfortunately it's got to be at someone's expense. Glad to hear it's behind you.

Not being formiliar with that photo, when I look close at that middle picture, it looks like the carb and the air filters are removed with a large gap between your intake and the bottom of your gas tank. Looks like your front porch on the other side of the bike is clearly visible Ahhh, now I get it...

Re: Still 2 of my favorite Boss Hoss vids....
No mystery there Ricky! The valve covers are pretty high and the Holley air cleaner hides it pretty good. Here's a few shots a little closer up. BTW, not sure what carb Stan is using on the DART 360 but I'm pretty darn happy with the Edelbrock he used on my motor. I never could get it tweaked just r...

Re: Another reason to be nice to people
That's such a bunch of bureaucratic bullcrap. I'm glad to say Bond Arms and Taurus somehow skirted around "barrel" issues with the Bond Arms Cowboy (or Texas) Defender and the Taurus Judge. How 'bout a shotgun with 2" barrel? I own both in .410 gauge. Els The reason they skirted the ...

Re: Another reason to be nice to people
It could be sold and used on a very widespread basis if they were to remove the "machine gun" tag from it and do as Kel Tec does making it a semi-automatic. Els The only problem with that,Els,is the barrel would then have to be at least 16" long to be legal. Anything shorter would be...

Re: Another reason to be nice to people
Really nice concept gun. Takes the Kel Tec Sub 2000 to the next step. I've owned one for years now. Same principle but a folding carbine using Glock magazines and in my gun's case, .40 cal. rounds. It also folds small enough to put in your back pocket but not concealed as a radio or flashlight. That...

Ricky, I've studied those pics of your new bike perhaps a dozen times. Very custom and awesome. Ron, that's a bad story with a so far lousy ending. Sorry to hear this. Sure makes me appreciate doing business with Stan. K, When Stan first started with the choppers, Gary and I took a spare 502 we had in the garage and fitted it to a spare chopper frame we got from Stan. At that point in time, I was a bigblockaholic and really wanted to give it a try. It looked terrible and we discontined the thought 10 seconds later...
