Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast

Clint, I had a bunch of buds that would go to Oshkosh each year but I never did. The EAA show at Lakeland, Sun-N-Fun was exactly 1.9 nm (DME) from our house. I had my plane based there and flew in & out of Lakeland Municipal 4 times p/week. Actually had a few ultralights come crashing down on ou...

Jimbo...WTF?!

Hey Jimbo...where the heck are you man?! How 'bout bringing us up to date (and maybe some pics?) on what's up in Great Brit? Now that the chopper is there and it's the right time of year, I suspect you're doing some good riding. How about a report? Is that the only V8Chopper in England? Are the guy...

Re: Sabertooth and .com site

 I am a Sabertooth owner and enjoy the bike. The bike is lighter, less top heavy and more narrow than others. The ride is better than any Boss Hoss I have ridden. I have had the bike about 3 months and put over 3000 miles on it already .[/quote from "Grinch"...] ________...

Re: V8 La Crosse, Wisconsin Rally

Geezer, I forgot I had this on my Iphone. I think the chopper is right up your alley.. David David, that old Geezer in the picture...someone you know? Can't picture that dude on a Hardley. Looks too at home and studly on the chopper. 8-) Geez, the Minnesota guys will hate and fear you (nothing new ...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast

Bob, That's a really cool thing you started. When you mentioned the town of Prairie du Chine, it rattled my memory a bit. I talked to David a few times while there and then after he left. He had great things to say about being there, the folks who came, and the good time. Having never been to that p...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast

Ron, I left a loop hole for bikinis but Geezer wearing a bikini on his Hardley...nah! Having a venue that size really sounds great. Everyone there having appreciation and understanding of V8's. When thinking about it, maybe the crowds with other than V8's ain't a bad thing. After all, those are the ...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast

Geezer, Glad you liked the trike. I might add, you looked good in the V8 Chopper T shirt... You started a great event Bob. It is nice to have all V8 Bikes welcome. Steve has done a good job of keeping it up. We will be back next year for sure. David Geez, is Dave suggesting the Lacrosse thing is ju...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast

The last time I talked to Stan,he didn't see his bikes as cruisers,he thought the Hoss filled that nich pretty well.In our conversation he said he was aiming towards the person that would buy a custom chopper, don't know how many miles you have on rigid frame bikes but they are not for everyone,mayb...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast

I have not ridden the V8 Chopper (Dart motor) trike but I have ridden my friend Russ's 502 trike and I was sadly dissappointed in it's performance. I don't know if his carb./timing is not set right or if the tranny, rear end combination is not right or if it jumps from 1st to 2nd too quickly. If it...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast

Ron, My trike experience was my wife's smallblock and then my '57 Chevy 502 with a big nitrous squirt. Also had some motor work. I thought it was a slug on motor only (damn, were spoiled!) and was constantly on the juice to get my thrills. When comparing that to when I rode David's trike, I could on...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast

Tom, see how this helps.... You look pretty badass and a great match to a chopper bike 8-) . You know, the Henry Fonda/Dennis Hopper thing! The wife will think you are 10 years younger, the young babes will bare their breasts more often, and you won't have to answer the "how much does it weigh&...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast

Phil,

I love doing "I told ya' so's" ha ha. The V8Chopper trike with that motor is in a class by itself. Outstanding ride and capable of low 10's in the 1/4 right out of Stan's shop...incredible!

Re: V8Chopper Trike is Here!

Phil, David kindly gave me the opportunity to log some saddle time on his then white V8Chopper trike with a 500 hp DART motor and also a yellow trike he has since sold. Having had two Boss Hoss trikes, both bigblock and smallblock, I felt pretty qualified making comparisons. Both have their assets a...

Re: V8Chopper Trike is Here!

Phil,

Outstanding looking trike! Really striking!

You have the exhaust I like best on Stan's trikes. I haven't heard the 520 DART through that exhaust but suspect it's hot! Twist it up!

Too bad Gerry won't be able to hear his little stroker motor when riding next to you, ha ha ;) !

Re: Carl La Fong tranny blog

Steve and I are good friends and neighbors. Although I didn't see the bike he bought from Bill with the Ranger, Steve said it ran really good. I do see it regularly in it's current incarnation...a bigblock trike that Tom B. converted for Steve. Hopefully Steve will pipe his 2 cents here to give his ...

Re: Carl La Fong tranny blog

Very interesting and will look to see how things unfold. Not 100% sure of what the Ranger is all about and not sure whether this project was also attempted by another, perhaps Bill Alexander? Is this tranny the setup or basis for what Sabertooth is now using? Your bio was every bit as interesting an...

Re: Old School Bike!

Somehow I missed this post when it was first put up. I always liked flag paint schemes and like this one quite a bit. Special attention to the rear fender. I always liked bobbed fenders and had my latest chopper bobbed just like the first. Yesterday when riding on an all day trip that had more than ...

There's a bunch more I'd like to see and hear about this bike too. I see a Ford motor, small radiator, and like Carl questioned, a "false tank" or is the one behind the seat a big ass reserve? Questions, questions, tons of questions. I have the utmost admiration for guys that take this roa...

You're right Fong, there is a lot of unnecessary fuck, shits, etc. on this site and it was originally done to make a point and it just seems go go on and on but it sure does work well to keep the pussies out. I have had several conversations from notables in the V8 bike world and they say they got ...
