Re: Welcome to ALL the Newcomers!!!!!

Uhhhh, sorry Bubba...that won't work. Even if you had 20 Hardly's, it won't equate to one good V8! ;) I thought perhaps with all the whispering in your ear from W.M. and all the JD's you guys were spilling, you'd have a "For Sale" sign on the HD and be scouting for a V8 of one variety or a...

Re: Chopper is reborn!

Chris, Good job, I know that oil consumption thing was grinding away at you. Getting rid of that problem by increasing performance is certainly the "A" answer. These bikes have so much on the bottom that it makes good sense to see the big power come in a little higher in the curve. You the...

Re: .COM Site Down

I'm glad to hear it's nothing critical. Can't have too much info or sources for all the good times had on these boards. Eagle, I heard from some that when they try to connect, it comes up with different Honda boards and then some get nothing at all (like me). I was wondering what that "Rune&quo...

Pete, You NY SOB's are cutting edge mean! Yes, I deserved that for sure. I have been called worse though and occasionally it's deserved. You probably opened a Pandora's box with that name. Every time I piss off one of the V8 guys now I'm going to be "Elshole". Haaaaa! Just spoke to m...

Re: Elsboss going away...for good?

Ok guys, I asked for it, I got it. Rob, you win....only 'cause of the number of letters. It has nothing to do with the first part of it being 100% correct and the pretty wife part, ha ha. I'm going to have to take a pass on all the others and stick with my "Els" pick. Only thing now ...

This has the potential to be MUCH TOO FUN to let it pass by... How about: ELS BELLS 8-) WB Bill, Wow, you're in a kind and gentle mood tonight! I was hoping you wouldn't see this thread knowing I was going to get a good (and deserved) thrashing! Compared to what I expected to hear, that was easy! T...

Phil, I JUST missed you. I was there Sunday until Tuesday. Sorry I wasn't able to meet you. :( Stan and crew are first rate for sure. Great shop, well organized, very dedicated crew. I too went over to Mr. Mike Willy's to talk about paint. I'm sure you saw all the magazine covers and posters with hi...

Elsboss going away...for good?

I'm thinking it's time for the "Elsboss" handle to go bye bye. After 5 years, 3 bikes, 2 trikes of Boss Hosses, I've now been without for about 3 years. In spite of liking the handle, it's somewhat traitorous considering I'm now a member of the V8Chopper family. Elsboss sounded a bun...

Jack, I've done enough polishing for a lifetime. I hate it. :x I told Stan when he was building the chopper that if it's polished, I don't want it. He has a really good chromer and I had everything I could chromed including the Edelbrock intake, Holley breather, etc. I've heard the ol' argument abou...

Re: Jack D

I've seen Jack's bike close up and it's very well done. Unfortunately, pics never do our bikes full justice. Jack, that heat sink cooler is a great add. I think you use Fred Strammer's temp toggle and if so, you surely noticed a difference after installing it. I actually used 3 tranny coolers on Big...

Re: New York City info?

Brian, My questions were specifically about parking for the bike, truck, and trailer. Got it all worked out with a garage in midtown near the Village. I actually considered staying in 2 spots in Brooklyn as I'm familiar with both areas. One in Bay Ridge off 4th Ave and about 84th street the other at...

I've had 2 speeding tickets dropped in 2 different states by calling the State Attorney in the respective county and talking to them. Re: Its Honker new to the board pictures of my recent project

Honker, I went to a show last weekend and ended up with "Best in Show" (bikes). The competition wasn't stiff (understated) but nonetheless, it was a 1st place trophy. I personally couldn't get excited because I did nothing to my current bike but write a check. I did call Stan at V8Choppers...

Beautiful ride. If you did the work, you should be especially proud. ;)

I'm unfamilar with the Merlin. Would you mind providing details as to build components and output?

Really beautiful!
