Electric water pump, mechanical fuel pump. I've seen some raised eyebrows with the fuel pump choice, however, I personally had a spat of bad luck with electric pumps (Holley) and besides, the mechanical Holley is chrome.
Thanks for the kind words Elvis. Jeanette & I had the property we're on for some time and had our sights set on a log home for years. She actually drew the design on notebook paper one day after church in about 20 minutes. I had been working on a CAD program on the computer for 2 months and afte...
Rick, Can't argue with any of it. I spent half my time at Stan's tent comparing Boss to Chopper and always covered the riding more than a 300 mile a day aspect where the Boss would clearly be more comfortable and more accomodating. Same with suspension although I've found the chopper to be very kind...
Thanks for putting these up. Great mammories of another fun time at Daytona! Good meeting you guys and especially enjoyed the photo shoot at the chopper tent! Best,
Thanks Mike! I was going to shine it up and take some pics tomorrow. Like a proud Daddy, I'll take entirely too many and you guys will see more than you care to!
Just got back from 8 days in Daytona. I'll give you guys some details but will apologize in advance for no pics. Too hard to do the camera thing when riding a new chopper and no bags, backpack, etc. Had to priortize keys, wallet, weapon, gum, business cards, phone numbers, reading glasses , comb, ph...
Ricky, I sure would have liked to seen what they were like although I've ridden a smallblock blower chopper quite a few times belonging to Gary. What I miss with the blower on the bikes is the whine of the supercharger because of the exhaust being open and so close. Gary's was a beast. I'm kind of s...
Tom, I hear ya'! You'd think I was a damn stockholder wouldn't you?! There has been some racing where a chopper with a 383 stroker motor spanked a totally stock 502 Boss pretty convincingly. There are also considerations when the Boss has to shift and the chopper doesn't, however, the chopper sure d...
Thanks for the kind words Ricky. I'm pretty psyched to see it in person myself! Stan told me the pictures don't do the paint any justice. It's a bit more red than you see with lots of metalflake. I heard it really pops in the outdoors and you can then see the ghost flaming. I'm very excited about th...
It's like watching the pot getting to boil. Time is going backward for me. I've moved the agenda up a bit but it's a slow go. As with almost all the toys, the anticipation and planning is half the fun. Now that that's over, let's get this show on the road!
You're right, they have a very nice stable of bikes. Three in particular would work extremely well for me with the new 1400 Kawasaki at the head of the list. Exceptionally nice bike for the type of riding I'd hope to do there.
Thanks Mike, I appreciate seeing this. I usually don't need a bunch of arm twisting for something as cool as I'm sure your trip is. We'll have to talk some more as time goes on. Thanks!
Mike, I appreciate the offer to join you guys. It will definitely go on the wish list and perhaps circumstance will enable it to happen. Do you guys go outside Germany? I wonder if there's any opportunity to rent a badass liter bike? A few buds went over on some orchestrated tour a few years back. I...
Mike, Sounds really cool but if those pictures you put up were the Autobahn, it's quite different than what I pictured. LOTS of big trucks although it appears they're all in the far right lane. Just like here in the states (NOT!!!). I pictured it to be more wide open and less traffic than shown. I s...
Dave, Don't watch Barrett Jackson these days or you'll get quite sick you sold those cars. I think of my '66 Fairland GT w/390, '70 Chevelle with the 396, and '72 GTO amongst others and wince with pain. Some of the prices of these cars defy reason but they're getting them. I saw a few pre '71 Hemi '...
Dave, Was there any discussion as to motor options on the Camaro? I suspect they're going to do an LS2 but was wondering if they were going to make the LS7 available. If so, I would think it would drive the price way the heck up there but 505 hp would be the ticket. The price of the Challenger is ch...
Ricky, I know I'm becoming a miserable piece of work to deal with as the time closes in. I already called my travelling companion, Mr. Professor Doctor Steve Barr and whined to him about our leaving earlier than originally planned! Instead of leaving early Sat. a.m. and arriving Saturday afternoon, ...
Okie, Sorry man but I've got to make spell check corrections whenever it deals with boobs. I think you meant "boobie" rather than "bobbie". That can't go uncorrected or Jack may have thought there were homosexual tendancies on this site. Elliot P.S. See Jack, I sign my name...
