Re: A Blast From our Past

OK DUDE, WHO'S GIVING UP THE OLD SPY SHOTS?!!!! :o I've got to admit, those pics bring a smile to my face. Great memories of both. Big Red (the 2 wheeler) ended up going to NY/NJ where it was totalled a week later. In retrospect, the story was quite funny but than again not so as the owner/rider had...

Re: V8-Choppers-The Visit..

Well, I've got to tell you...I'm deeply disappointed. Where the heck is the picture of the photographer!? Glad you got to see 'em Geez. Stan has done a great job with these bikes and David has a killer arsenal. How many folks can lay claim to two beautiful V8 trikes, two beautiful V8 bikes...all und...

Re: Milwaukee Boss Hoss????

Mike, that was the whole thing behind the "censorship" thread on the other site. It originated as a result of Pass-N-Gas getting hosed by Milwaukee BH on the acquisition of a bike. It was months and he couldn't get a clear title, was given a bunch of bullshit about "UPS will be delive...

Tom,

Congratulations! A bigblock with that kit must have some attitude. Any difference with sound or lope at idle or any differences on the bottom end?

Re: Myrtle Beach Help Please

Ricky, It does help and I do appreciate it. I'll talk to you in Daytona more about it but I'm considering going from the first Sunday and staying maybe 3 days depending on weather and how much I like it. I've heard already about good food, lots of selection as far as accommodations, and lots of traf...

Re: BLOWER(S)

Darryl, Jack Phillips had emailed me that one yesterday. I was really intrigued studying the ad. It's a lot more bike than it first appears. Some very unique detail to the paint and I suspect the motor. I did notice it had a "rebuilt" Florida title which indicates it was either wrecked or ...

Myrtle Beach Help Please

I have never been to Myrtle Beach. Anyone here go? I thought some of the NE guys headed there in May. If anyone can shed any light, I'd be appreciative.

How it compares to Daytona, is it too hot, places to stay, do many of the mfgs show up, etc.

Jack, you may be right. Seems like they should have used plexi instead of the black. I'd sure like to see and hear that one run.

Re: BLOWER(S)

Interesting how they chose to set these bikes up. Instead of having the scoop sitting up there so prominent, I personally would have chose to raise the tank some and expose the blower. No one can see the actual supercharger, pulley, or belt. I couldn't make out the black piece in back of the radiato...

Re: Too Fragmented

Joe, I thought the same thing when I first starting using the site but quickly got used to it. It really became as easy to use as the other boards I frequent after picking up some pointers from the guys here. The little red flags, the "view new posts", all made it very friendly in my opini...

Re: Why us old guys, like V8 bikes.

Geez, As part of the "Weberization" process, it probably has a well concealed swivel/rocker/recliner not to mention a propane fired grill for the brats. I haven't figured where he's concealing the mini keg though. You know you mention that weather thing...I had to move here to figure why e...

Geez, When you see David, tell him I said hello. When you evaluate the bike, I'd like to hear from you. If you don't like it though, lie to me. Mine will be finished up this week. Stan has been a blast to work with. Well, almost always a blast. Unfortunately he and Neil got together and pulled a dir...

Tom, There's a silver lining to every cloud. Now you can look forward to receiving another UPS delivery and box to open with your newly ordered, race issue pushrods inside! Still a bit shell shocked hearing and looking at the motor mount/frame situation. Not surprising it could happen especially wit...

Re: Naked Gun!

Rob, how's that ol' Buffet song go?..."it's got to be 4:00 somewhere" ! The whole concept of the bike really amazes me. According to what I had heard about Monte from back in the earlier days it shouldn't as he was an innovator and really thought outside the box. Comparing it though with t...

Re: Naked Gun!

Kim, you got good info. If you were to bolt a blower onto a powerplant with 10.5/1 compression you better not be making too much boost. I believe Gary used 8.5/1 pistons with his blower application and possibly 11 lbs boost but I'm foggy due to it being some time ago. He was also using 150 shot of n...

Re: Naked Gun!

Kim, Appreciate hearing that bit of history regarding BH's use of the blowers. Aluminum smallblock with a blower...that is a concept that was really out there! Considering the time, just putting a V8 on a bike frame was big time. That was back in the days when Monte apparently had a different head t...

Re: 502 top end

I was staring at that picture of the hole in the frame with my mouth hanging open. Had never seen or heard that one before. My first thought hearing it was a 2nd occurence on different bikes (?) would make me highly suspicious that it was isolated to those two events. Tom, beautiful new intake but b...

Kim, Just finished going back to that thread of you bringing your bike back overseas. What a great adventure and project! I had heard of one factory blower bike in Cape Coral, Florida not far from where I used to live but never got to see it. It may have been involved in a wreck or sold. In any case...

It's 6:00a.m. eastern! What the heck you doin' in the middle of the night?! Maybe you're overseas right now and doing this on your lunch break? If you're in Colorado, you're either suffering insomnia or one sick puppy!
