Re: Euro Style Bikes

WM, while we're on the subject, I asked RB in my email to send a few pics of the "Southern Yankee". It would be the perfect poster bike for V8Bikers.net as the paint starts out with Stars & Stipes and morphs into Stars & Bars. It is one of the slickest paint jobs I've ever seen. I'...

Re: Euro Style Bikes

WM, Don't be serving up an apology too quick. It could very easily be ME who's mistaken. I going by memory from a number of years ago when my bud Rick V. sold RB the "Southern Yankee" and I thought I recall hearing it was to be the first BH there. Between my feeble memory and there not bei...

I was under the impression the 1st BH registered in Norway was RB's bike, "Southern Yank" ?

Rob,

That's it dammit! Enough is enough! I'm backing out of that "stay cool & calm" routine and going back to the counting and totally wired.

3 weeks, 3 days, 19 hours, 30 minutes.

Re: Posting Thought/Question

Kim, That was going to be my plan. Just put the original post in the "General" area and than can move over to a specific board if necessary. I noticed on the .com site they periodically move a thread to a different section. I thought that perhaps if there was some really good info and chat...

Posting Thought/Question

Joe posted about a distributor and brake issue and placed one under "electrical" and one under "brakes" in the Tech section. The only way I knew they were there is I looked at "View unanswered posts" (for the first time) and saw those listed. Perhaps they were unanswere...

Re: One for all of us gun owners

Mike, I don't know if anyone looks at this thread anymore but this is the first I saw it while surfing around tonight. I have very strong feelings about guns and gun control. Gun control first...."gun control" means always hitting your target. End of story. Gun ownership and carrying... I ...

Re: Mallory Ignition system

Joe, That is really high tech. Can interface with your PC...wow! Not sure about the programming piece although it would certainly be ideal for specific applications. I suspect for the type of riding I'm guessing you do, you wouldn't have to screw with different settings. Neil has put a lot of time a...

Re: Stan @ V8Choppers...what a guy!

I'm actually not counting. Kind of like watching a pot of water boil...the more you look, the slower it goes. When I pack my Daytona bags the day before, I'll get psyched!

Re: Euro Style Bikes

WM,

Funny how every time I saw see that "Stingray" bike I stare. The "headlight" photo for some reason seemed to hold my attention quite a bit longer though!

YES, MORE EURU STYLE PICTURES, ha ha!

Re: Euro Style Bikes

Jack, I believe it's the blue bike on Page 1 of this thread toward the bottom. Louvered slats and the fender/tire as you suggest. Truly great looking bike.

Re: Euro Style Bikes

Jack,

You believing what some of these guys are doing on the old style Bosses?! Not only out of the box type of thinking as far as design but apparently really fine workmanship. I get a lot of pleasure seeing this type of personalizing and customization.

Stan @ V8Choppers...what a guy!

I've got to tell anyone listening, Stan at V8Choppers is about the most pleasant, most knowledgable, most fun to work with, dedicated mfg there is out there. I'm not saying this to end up with brown on my nose but rather sincerely and something I've known for 3 or more years. I won't go into detail ...

Re: Euro Style Bikes

K, As you may know, Scott and Stan went their seperate ways. I've seen what one is doing and it's not very impressive. Seen what the other is doing and it is VERY impressive. Stan is using a tranny that is very much similar to the original with some hardened and improved parts. His tranny builder an...

Re: Euro Style Bikes

Kim, I seem to remember the early Kannon bigblocks were having some tranny problems. Possibly the output shaft and pumps? Anyhow, you had any problems? Stan has made some significant improvements to the tranny including the output shaft. A few years back he was encouraging Gary and I to try and tras...

Re: "Friends Abroad"

Hey Olaf!!! Great hearing from you. I got RB's email address last night and we exchanged a few since then. RB is a great guy and he told me just what you said here about Tom, the band, the dealership, etc. RB has another V8Chopper coming ( or he already has it) with a 'Jack Daniels' paint scheme. Re...

Re: Euro Style Bikes

I really enjoy seeing all the pre '01 models with the excellent customization. I wasn't aware there were that many overseas. I wonder if most of these customs seen here are modified here or there? I'm at T minus 4 weeks and two days 'til I get the new chopper. I'm unsure whether looking at all these...

Re: "KICKING ASS"

Ricky, I'm wiping the laugh tears. Bill looks like he needs a hosing down in that pic. Hope he didn't have his mouth open during that deal or he'd be shitting rubber. :o Hope that was a slow ride back from Iron Horse. That tire was toast. That burnout pit fun is great sport to me...as a spectator! :...

Re: Euro Style Bikes

That camo bike is pretty wild. Wonder if all that up top houses a Streetcatcher type scoop?

Really enjoyable catching glimpses of these bikes. Very unique!

I haven't kept up with what Olaf is doing these days. What's up "Loaf"?!

Ricky, Stan is really doing a great job with the bikes. I'm really excited with the new one coming. Let's be sure to get together and swap rides for a bit in Daytona and you can check out one with the new big DART motor. I'd enjoy riding your bigblock as it would be a reminder of a bike I loved...Bi...

Re: "KICKING ASS"

Ricky, That's a good one. Bill is for sure a "Wild Bill". He was lucky that time as the Daytona cops, especially the ones on bikes can have a not too good sense of humor. It seems there's a mix. I always wave to them and about half acknowledge, half don't. Speaking of Bill, there was a pos...

Re: "Friends Abroad"

Peter and Mike, I recv'd the contact info last night regarding RB. He's a great guy and a lot of fun. I have some...
