Re: Winters Transmission

I have heard it works well and can take abuse in 2nd. I would definitely run a skid plate with it however. After seeing what happened to Shane Fischer's tranny, I will always run a skid plate.

Re: Clint

Welcome Clint. I love this site and always have. I personally feel that adults can police themselves and that the fewer the rules the better. We have no problems here. If something doesn't suit you....just speak up. Seems way more relaxed and enjoyable here.

Re: Questions for the members

Bill, I am the world's worst to just read what the others post and fail to contribute myself. I visit the site regularly, but post little. I too will attempt to be more "productive". I have eliminated a ton of little bugs on my bike and trike....right now very little to report as both are ...

Re: Brake question for V8 trike

I used the lever clamped down for a day or so also. My Boss Hoss bike will gravity bleed the rears, now that the parking brake is removed and I use a front master cylinder on the bars for the rear brakes. I really like being able to use the rear brakes with both feet on the ground in gravel parking ...

Re: Brake question for V8 trike

Jack, no the pads did not rub. The reason for the mushy feel is the springs had the pads so far away from the rotors the master cylinder could not close the gap. once the springs were removed, the pads were close to the rotors, hard brakes resulted. It worked!

Re: Brake question for V8 trike owners

My brakes are rock solid on my V8 Chopper ... front and rear....but it took work to get it that way. The culprit on the rear was the springs intended to return the pads to open position. Stan removed them and I have good rear brakes. On the front Chris had to trim some chrome off of the hand lever a...

Jack,

It was built in August 2000. Monte told me I had the choice of the last 2000 or the first 2001 if I would wait 2 or 3 weeks. Since the price was the same.....I waited.

Ended in the C in 1976. 1977-1986 flew the KC - 135 A and later E model with fan jets. 1987- 1991 flew C -130's in the school at L...

Re: Daytona Bike Week roll call

Will do Els, see you at Stan's each day. Wet Willey saw a sticker over a scratch on my bike and wanted to know what it was. I told him that was my squadron patch from fighters .... RF-101 Voodoo. He said we have to put that on the bike. He airbrushed it on the seat pan. If you look close at the pain...

Els, you will never know how much you have influenced us. I first got interested in V8 Choppers because of you and Gary. I have followed all your bikes. I finally met Stan and well....that was that! I saw your latest while it was being built. Awesome ride for sure.

Re: My new paint job by Wet Willey!

Wet Willey and I rubbed our heads together on this one. I picked the colors and general graphic shape.....he did the layout from there. I have found it best to not try to influence the painter too much. You get a much better result that way. Mike knows me and what I like. He told me during our conve...
