What year is your bike, mine is a 01 and did not have a relay. The wires came threw the Rad. and went directly to the temp sensor. Check for power at the sensor and if the power is there jump the two wires together and the fan should turn on. Hope this helps.

Just a thought, would it work to incorporate the second caliper on the rear with the front brake circuit? Just thinking.
