Re: Brake fluid

Too much to read in that post. But, it can't hurt. I guess there's no such thing as too much maintenance. I do change the air in my tires monthly, as it gets stale and stinky in there I agree, way too much reading and it's OLD! I managed to get through a paragraph or two :anvil: I probably go/went ...

If your ever in my area be sure to look me up ... I've got some firepower in the safe I think you would enjoy! I've got a couple that you won't enjoy (hurts like hell to fire) but still fun to shoot just for laughs! :capwin:

Re: Brake fluid

Moral: Flush your brake fluid every year or so. How many of you subscribe to this theory? I know there are a lot of factors involved but wanted to see who does this as a matter of regular maintenance. Hi Bill - I tend to be a little over the top with my maint schedules BUT to answer your question ....

Re: Harley building some smaller models

They WILL sell them ... not a bike for me but a lot of people will buy just because "Harley Davidson" on tank. I've talked with so many guys/girls and have heard the comment "one day I'll buy a Harley" or "I'm saving for a Harley" even though they have a very nice bike ...

That's crazy ... almost like driving in Pittsburgh, they think a yellow line is just a sugestion!!!! I've been considering "reverting" back to my old days and carrying a pocket of ball bearings or marbles ... Almost broke my hand one day in the not too distant past, note to self don't punc...

Re: The British are coming!

Shooting's frowned upon here nowadays but I used to be an dedicated combat pistol shooter - 1911a1 compensated, Delta Colt 40magnum compensated, mauser bolo in 9mm for laughs and lovely muzzle flashes. I reloaded my own in all calibers and had a packed gun safe. A Columbine type incident in England...

I appreciate the kind comments, guys, but site support over there finally got so bad,I just felt like I was beating my head against a wall. Re: adjusting richness of fuel air mixture

Gordon - Here is something I found when looking around: The best way to accurately set idle mixture is to use an emission-test machine to read hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) levels. As you move the idle-mixture screws, you’ll see some very dramatic changes in HC and CO readings. The ideal...

Eagle - I'd take 68 everyday of the year! I lived in AZ for a few years so I know what you have coming BUT TX is too damn humid for me! All You Lucky #&^@!*(@#^

It's that time of the year again I start to wish I was somewhere warm where winter means dig out the long sleeve shirts ... not the shovels, plows and salters ... We got maybe two inches of snow overnight but the salt truck has been down my road 2 times in the last 1.25 hours! :wft: I plan to call t...

Mark - Some places I like to hit while I'm down for BikeWeek : I always ride the loop at least two or three times, one of the best rides that are "local" I always go down to New Smyrna (sp) to get one of the BEST hamburgers around at a small place called "The Breakers". They are ...

Re: Riding Temperature

Temps are not what keeps me off the bike, the salt they throw on the roads is what does it for me. The lowest air temps I've ridden would be between 5-10 degrees, the hottest 120+ in south west deserts. The toughest weather conditions on one trip would have been my trip to Alaska, I had temps as low...

I have seen some news accounts (I don't believe much of what I see or read in the news) and have read many comments posted through out the internet. I seem to fall into the minority category here ... I agree, many of the bikes were riding like assholes BUT when this particular SUV hit the rear tire ...

Don, yes, the mount is available in a black anodized finish. Bill Bill - Thanks! Is the finish flat or is it shiney or do I get a choice? :D I would like a flat finish if possible.
