Re: Adrian has passed away
I will not apologize or retract my statement. If you read this thread Susan jumped right in there to make sure everyone knew some people had a problem with Adrian. Really?? The day after his passing and the only thing you have to say is to bring up that fact?? Struck me as saying.. "Sorry you a...

Re: crank hub and pulley
Might check with V8 Choppers. Don`t know if it is the same one but BH used to use a similar hub and it was for a chevy 4 cylinder in a fiero or one of the front wheel drive cars of the 80s vintage. Mercruiser also used one for marine applications. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercruiser-OMC-2-5L-120-Cran...

Re: New Transmission
Maybe they should just get back to basics if they want a trans that is both small and tough.. Single speed and automatic.. add a bunch of hp and gear it right.. My tranny is like a rubber dick.. beat it.. pound on it.. ride it hard and put it away wet... ready to go the next day.. But then.. This op...

Re: Spongy brake handle leads to leaking caliper
None of them did until about the 2011-2012 models. They have gone steadily down hill since then. The Owner of American Suspension (Vince) Lost his wife about that time. Quality has been in the pits since then. Not just brakes either. Chrome and fork oil leaks too.

Re: Spongy brake handle leads to leaking caliper
Buck... When Susan`s forks went out for rechrome I taped off the calipers and wrote a note on them telling American Suspension to not mess with the brakes. Hopefully they came back that way and will not leak.

Re: Spongy brake handle leads to leaking caliper
It is a crap shoot... Most times they will leak again. Not much to rebuilding them and Tom`s have been done twice already. Something is amiss in the machining process. I wish I could agree with Buck but at this point I have seen so many failures including brand new bikes I feel it is time to do some...

Re: Spongy brake handle leads to leaking caliper
American suspension used to build a great padlock brake system. Something changed... They are junk. Talk to Stan about doing an external caliper/exposed line set up. Problem solved.

Re: 1/4 mile times
Nope... I got more.. LOL. Like I said.. a little issue on the big end. This pass was at 148. I made another with a mph of 156 but lost traction and slowed me down. 9.46 on that pass.. The track is a local outlaw track and it`s pretty much run what you brung. I sprayed it with a 100 shot. Bike is pre...

What is your best? Last night I ran a 9.24 at 148 mph. I left some on the table with a little fuel issue but will get that worked out and go back. Oh.. I DO have a time slip to back it up.

Bob, Ok... Maybe the asshole comment was a little out of line. First round is on me. As far as the public airing of my thoughts on the factory decision to not sell tranny parts.... that was something that affected all of us and I felt needed to be discussed publicly. There were a lot of people upset...
