Happy New Year...

Its been quite a few years since I owned a V8 bike and every once in a while I visit this site and the other forum to bring back the memories when Boss Hoss and other V8 bikes were in their prime. Anyway glad to see there are still some longtime and newer members still posting and riding. Just wante...

Re: Muscle/souped up cars from the 70's

...yes 8 track under dash mounting and -wide oval 70's -cheater slicks -dual exhaust w/ Thrush mufflers -trim rings and baby moons -front rear speaker switch with reverb -custom steering wheel -STP and Moon Eyes decal ...then when the gas crisis hit in '73...no more muscle cars! But a new trend came...

CLF...I've considered the race pump but since it was labeled as "racing" I was concerned on reliability. Seems you may have sparked my interest in it again.

Thanks Iron Maiden...sorry about the downpour. We had two days of it on our trip. My next trip is to the Thunder Beach Fall Rally in PCB and maybe a trip to Texas before December.

Re: Labor Day weekend ride

I had a great ride last month. Did not ride the V8 but rode the Road Glide from Huntsville, AL to York PA where we toured the H-D Motor Company Assembly Plant. It was interesting to see the bikes, all the gas tanks, fenders, etc. waiting for final assembly...neat tour and it was free...

Re: 2nd gear dos and don'ts

I had a 2007 BH SS with 385HP and sold it a couple of years ago. They are really great looking bikes and because you do respect the mechanicals in operating it...the SS will last you a lifetime! I now have a 2005 V8 Chopper I bought shortly after selling the SS as project to work on...but I've eithe...

Bob...I would not rush that shoulder too soon. I had an accident damaging my shoulder several years ago and the doc gave me a steroid/cortzone shot that masked the damage. Bottom line was that I thought I was getting better...lifted some motorcycle ramps and the tendon broke like a rubber band. I en...

Clint - I like the red '90 ZR1...I took one of the Corvette plant tours back in the mid 90's. It was neat to see how they mated the body to the frame and shortly afterwards be able to drive it off the line. I have a friend that works at the plant and he's promised me a behind-the-scenes visit if I c...
