I was on a nice trip into the Alps on May 24th.
I headed to the Gotthard Pass which was cleared of snow and offically opened about one week before that date. It looked like I was NOT the only one up there although it was a bit fresh...

There were still 5 to 6 Meters of snow lying on the side of the road!

There are no rocks or something else piled up under the snow. Just plain white and cold stuff...
