Watching some TV the other day, I came across the tale end of a Modern Marvels episode about speed. I missed the part I would have liked to see where they had Boss Hoss listed at the number 6 position. I guessed it was a 502. # 3 was top fuel dragsters, 2 was the F-35 with its 50,00 hp or so, and no.1 was the jet with its scram jet engine hitting mach 9.8 or 7000 mph (or so) . They mentioned some day you could fly in one. Some neat stuff !!

Jeff, I know the episode you are referring to but I can't find it yet. This one, however, does have a few minute segment on the Boss around the 11 min mark.

Nice piece. I had several of those "old" bikes and or worked on plenty of them . brings back memories...
