CLASSIC BIKE AUCTION

Post by SQ4MN »

January 10th, 11th, 12th here in Las Vegas is the worlds largest classic bike auction. Since I live here and love classic bikes I attend every year. It lasts 3 days and about every classic bike ever made usually finds its way here at one time or another. Its held inside where its warm and is lots of fun even if you're just spectating. There are usually 600 classic bikes on display before and after they've been thru the auction block. If you had a bike as a kid the same type bike is probably for sale here. From Cushmans and Whizzers to Vincents, Harleys, Indians, etc its all here. Even the occasional Boss Hoss. If anybody is coming be sure to give me a shout. Also if someone wants me to check out a bike prior to bidding let me know.

I went to the auction with Dave, Stan and Tom C. 3 years ago. If you like old bikes, it's a must see. Watching the actual auction is pretty exciting also. Seeing these guys, casually bidding 100K, really tells me I need a better job.

If they allow pictures I know I'd like to see some of the more "rare" models ... I'm sure others here would too!

And my favourite NON V8 bike… the Vincent Black Shadow, with the black engine. The Brits got it right!
