Think my Yahoo Acc. was hacked

Hi All

When I did some editing to my profile on this site I took the opertunity and changed the passwords on both my profile and my yahoo account ,,, the next day I was receiving notes saying I sent a suspicious note ,,, some from members here ,,, I apoligise if this caused any anyone hassles ,,, I change my password again ,,, hope thats the end of it ,,,

as probably happened to all of us and most possibly a virus and not hacking; virus programs do not stop everything.

You could have something there Buck ,,, that would mean I am still vunerable ,,, Maybe it was the perfect storm effect to which I did things in sequence that enabled the virus to hit ,,, not savvy on IT ,,, just hope it doesn't happen again ,,,

on my last computer I had a very good, according to ratings, virus program plus 2 malware detector programs and still had some problems. A 'puter dude at school looked into it and found a virus. Go figure. Folks were getting all kind of false emails from me and I from them. If hacking was involved I would imagine that my bank account and debit card would have been toyed with. Anyway, have a great Xmas and I still owe you a beer when you make it to Daytona.

Download anti-malware from http://www.malwarebytes.org/. Make sure you update before to run and run it at least once a day. If you received an email that you don't recognize the sender - delete it. When download anything - make sure you scan it before opening. I'm using McAfee security software - no one security software is perfect but this one seems to work for me. This should help keep most of the virus out of you system. Peace, Hellboy
