That could be a hard sell. Good clutch bikes are going for around 9K. I suspect the seller thinks it is worth that much as is. As nice and new as it is, I wouldn't give more than 5K for it

Hi Guys

Do you think a good fab shop could turn this into a nice chopper like bar bike ,,, would look at keeping it simple ,,, would want a new style gas tank and such ,,, any input would be appreciated ,,, would also need to look at importing in Canada.

Thanks Mike

A good shop can turn it into anything you want. If it were mine, I'd put a Ranger two speed in it. I am a bit biased, however.
If you bid and win, I'm only 50miles from the bike. I can transport it to The Fongderosa until you arrange shipping to Canada

Thanks Mr. La Fong

I know nothing about these bikes and appreciate your input ,,, I have already bid and am currently the highest bidder (but haven't met reserve) ,,, I will confirm it's importable into Canada before elevating my bid.

Again ,,, thanks for your help ,,,

Hi Barry

Thanks for the input ,,, my thoughts are something different then what I already have ,,, I already have the kewlmetal fronts on my boss's ,,, was thinking bare-bones bobber kind of thing ,,, no panels ,,, just old school chopper ,,, maybe a little gas tank to show the engine more ,,, I won't go without good brakes and such but go oldy on the rest ,,, even though I am not a fan I would consider staying with the car tire on the back and maybe a really fat or really thin tire on the front.

Regards Mike

Pretty good bones to start with as long as the price is right. He says he has a radiator. I wonder if there is anything else not listed in the ad???
I have a clutch, maybe a flywheel, not sure and a first generation sliding block swing arm. If you buy the bike, you can have it all.
I think a guy could hammer together a pretty cool beater, bar hopper for a little money and some time

Roger that and Thanks again ,,, I'm in a bidding war with someone ,,, Will see where it ends ,,, even though I have never been a fan I like the idea of a chain drive on a older style bike ,,, would also welcome the manual clutch if that's the best direction to take.

Looks like the seller shut down the auction. It was at the same bid for 3 or four days. Never reached reserve. I still think he probably had an inflated idea of the value. Real nice clutch bikes are going for 9 or 10K on a good day. I know how much the kit was and how much the engine cost back when they were new. Today is a different world. Again, I'd be hard pressed to give much more than 4 or 4.5K for it. 5, if there were a few boxes of additional goodies to go with it.
