Thanks for the input Barry. I'll look into a bit more, while I'm partial to the original look of the stock rims, I think it could benefit from something shiny.

Barry I'v run into a Dead end.. I spent time running looking for a tire shop willing or able to break down the bead to install steel valve stems! I'd like to know who mounts Stan's tires in Miami, I'm sure they would do them!

If you're going to have steel valve stems installed (which I think is a very good idea if you're using a TPMS), you might consider going with a T valve stem that would allow you to put air in the tire without removing the sensor. Even thought it's not a big deal to remove them when you put in air, this would simply it a lot.

You can get them through Hawkshead Systems Inc. for $10 apiece plus shipping. (Provided they are the size you need).

I'm not sure I would want to add more weight to the wheel ... you may end up with an exagerated amount of stick on weights to offset the added stem weight ... Remember form and function with regards to a motorcycle. I get upset/fustrated when I end up with 2 or 3 grams on my wheel to balance! Just my Image, if it doesn't bother you guys ... go for it!

Sorry for being away from the forum, I've been preparing for the Leesburg Bikefest and Thunder on the Beach in Panama City Beach. To answer your question. Just remove sensor add air and replace sensor. it will read the new pressure. The only time you would have to re-link the sensor is if you change the high and low set points in your profile.
