Bill Vansant posted elsewhere that he visited Harold yesterday ..He passed all of our best wishes to him. Bill mentioned that when Harold gets out and about they would have to drink some JB ...Harolds eyes lit up and nodded a big YES! :capwin: Harolds sister said that was the first nod Harold has given...So our thoughts and prayers are working...Keep sending them his way :D

Visited Harold last night (15Feb2016).
His numbers still improving.
Hoping the trache can be removed
in the near future.
He is STILL in critical care.
I will visit him again tomorrow night(17Feb2016).
Please keep the prayers happening.

I'm sure you have told him how many of his buddies, known and unknown are wishing him better but it's worth repeating as he sees the light - 1,100 views! beating "exciting new changes coming to Boss Hoss"!

As I saw Harold last night(17Feb2016), he was sleeping.
I chose not to wake him. I figure if he is sleeping, then
he is resting; if he is resting, he is healing. His swelling
is gone. Trache still in, also on a CPAP to help wean him
off the vent as time progresses. Tube in left lung to
remove fluid. Antibiotics still working against the pneumonia.
Kidneys working more as the clock ticks.
"Numbers" improving a little each day.
Let's hope this is a turning point towards healing up
those ribs, getting the vent removed soon, and maybe
being moved to the next room(Not critical care).
Bill

21 March 2016

Harold is relearning to swallow.
When they cap off his vent tube,
he can do a little bit of talking,
but tires easily.
This is day # 50 since his crash.
Improvement !!!!

Bill - Thanks for the updates on Harold. Really glad to see he is improving and getting better. Wish his recovery would be faster but recovery at any speed is good. Tell him we are thinking of him and he needs to get better sooner then later!!

I visited Harold last night (25March2016).

Before I share this GREAT news with you,
the family has permitted we V8ers to be
informed here, but we do NOT have their
permission to post ANY of this on facebook!

Harold is breathing on his own.
His vent tube in the front of his neck should
be removed sometime this coming week.
It is currently capped off, which permits him
to be able to talk.
And TALK he DID !!!!! 8-)
His hands are not bound anymore.
He wants a haircut.
He would like to have some solid food.
He has definitely lost weight.
He wants his Harley repaired, and he told
me WHERE he wants it repaired.
He had some fun and fabulous comments
on the nurses ;)
Geezer came up with a cool idea, which
Shane and I helped with...................
Harold now has four 8 X 10's of him sitting
on his window sill.
One V8 Choppers trike pic; One BH pic; One Cowboy pic;
One pic of Harold's F-101 Squadron with
Lt. Colonel Blocker in it, along WITH an
F-101C Voodoo that he flew.
He is having fun showing those pics to the staff.
Of course, he is in all these pics.
His kidneys are still not functioning at this time,
but we are all praying that they come back on-line.

Folks, I am jumping up-and-down friggin' HAPPY
at this time ! I LOVED being able to have my
first conversation with our Brother Harold since
his crash 55 days ago ! :D 8-) :ten:

Please keep praying for him to be able to be out
of the hospital and home by his birthday on 29 April.
