Clipped this from our Yahoo archives:
Well guys, I made a good deal on a low milage King V, and I'm leaving
real early tommorro morning to pick it up, I should be back Sunday
evening with my new Chevy-Davidson. lol It's a 2000 Wild One with
less than 1000 miles on it.
The temperature was in the 80s today here in New Orleans, and I'm
headed up to possible snow flurries.
PS, It also does not have REVERSE. Ha Ha

I really enjoyed hearing that story WM and enjoying the pics. I recall Monte & Meredith helping me out numerous times even with items that they could have easily not got involved in...but they did. That was back in 2000, 2001 and they were very hands on at the time. With the company growing as it did and putting more emphasis on dealer involvement. I was very thankful those days to talk to folks directly at the factory and Nesco with respect to issues and parts.

That rally and parade pics looked awesome!

Mike , I have to admit I do like those pipes . I have a set of extensions tips I may run someday that are similar to those but they are slash cut and have 2 up sweept pipes coming out on each side . I've always said that Boss Hoss needs more options for pipes . They've had the same style for about 9 years now . Not only that the stock pipes blow shit all over any bike parked next it when started . Now that would really piss me off if some one blew dirt and shit all over my bike .

WM,

I saw a really cool JD (no, not Jack Daniels, ha ha ;) ) that Mountain BH had done a few years back at Daytona. Same paint scheme but I thought it was a 502 or maybe even a Donovan. Didn't know there were two JD tractor bikes out there?

Haven't seen him for a while, but I heard Alfred had some bad luck during the years. He bought a 502, and kept his John Deere Boss Hoss which he converted into a two speed bike (Steve Barr's tranny). Then his John Deere bike's two speed tranny went south, caused by his own mistake. A little later the engine of the 502 Boss Hoss blew, too. I heard that he still has both bikes, but they are eating dust in his garage and both waiting for a repair...

Tom, yes we are going to make it to La Crosse this year. I am unable to make east meets west or daytona though, work sucks but it pays the bills. so the party is getting started. we at least need a daily V8 bike presence report if possible. ya'll have a safe fun time.
