Miami Oklahoma Rally

Post by Geezer »

Miami Oklahoma – Rally:

A few of the V-8 owners decided they wanted to add a little twist to the Oklahoma
rally. The brain fart is as follows:

Saturday May 23, a group of riders will be heading to the Tulsa International
Raceway, in Tulsa Oklahoma for a day of drag racing.

This option of entertainment is being added to several ideas, which include various rides of the area around the rally. This option in no way is condoned or suggested by
V8 – Choppers, or any individual associated with V8-Choppers LLC. This option is
just a another form of entertainment available.

Currently the plan is for riders of interest to depart the Buffalo Run Casino parking lot
at 8:30-9:00am on Saturday morning, to Tulsa International Raceway. The drive via freeway is about 75 miles, therefore we should arrive about 10 am, at which time the gates open.

Make sure your bikes have full gas tanks on Friday evening. Race gas is available
at the track.

Also, please only run street tires to make races equal for all. No slicks..

For any riders that want to precipitate in running your vehicle on the drag strip, I would
warn you that this is your own decision, and you must follow the IHRA rules that apply
to this facility. Wavers must be signed, and a tech inspection is necessary, together
with proper helmet, gloves, and clothing. I will address the current IHRA motorcycle
rules in a separate post.

This is a ¼ mile drag strip under the sanction of the International Hot Rod Association,
Aka “IHRA” . The raceway has full facilities to include food and drink available.

The current thought is to leave the track about 3pm to arrive back at the Casino
around 4:30pm. It is very important, that we do not miss cocktail hour........

Geez,

Great job bird dogging this and getting the info out there. Me is real ready  .

My first day at the track here in NC is next Thursday night weather permitting. I've been looking forward to it all winter.

If there was anyone willing to go by truck in Oklahoma to the track that would be real cool 8-) . Between the leathers, full face helmets, some tools and nitrous fills, even a few of us racing would sure need a truck there. One pulling a small trailer even better. Perhaps someone who doesn't necessarily want to race but rather sit in the stands or pit will volunteer for that duty once there.

We did a bit of street dragging in Daytona up on I-95 which really sucked and is quite dangerous so this is a real bonus. Between David's new aluminum motor and Gary's nitrous motor, I'm going to have my work cut out but I've got something up my sleeve too. 8-)

Thanks again...

Els

This is just too cool. Finally a time to put the bullshit claims to rest
and let the time slips do the talking. I'm sure my poor 550hp trike
can't keep up with the big dogs but it will be a fucking blast trying.

ATTENTION: Any Florida guys going to the Oklahoma Rally......

My bud Gary was told there were bunches of FL guys going :D and thought they'd cooperatively get a transport to haul the bikes. Gary and his wife got their airline tickets and now....everyone who WAS going ISN'T going  . Gary's looking to find anyone hauling their bike/trike to Oklahoma from central or south Florida who has room for one V8Chopper. Gary will help with expenses and get the bike to you and pick it up after Oklahoma. Please respond to me as he doesn't do the websites. Thanks....

Elliot
