Hi Boy Wonder, do you know what the gear ratios are on your new box please? I read in your write up that 1st was a bit high, is that because you don't have a torque converter?
The Boss Hoss and Big Brute both have 1.5:1 bottom and 1:1 top. The Powerglides have around 1.7 or 1.8:1 bottom and 1:1 top.

The transmission has a 2:1 first gear, so, at the countershaft, it's 3:1 since I am using a Curtis angle drive
