Well boys and girls, it is that time of year again. Ron is smoking up the country side on the 1/8 mile drag strip at the Hogwild Rodeo in Conesville, IA. Here is a link to a video of his burn out with a brand new set of tires.

did you do any runs with the Hoosiers on?

Maybe I should have started at the beginning of our Conesville trip. So here is our campsite, we are all set up and ready to ride.


Here is a portion of the campsites on the North side of the track. There are more campsites on the South side of the track but they were too far away to photograph from where I was.



This is the dragstrip at the end of the day on Friday.



This is a rocket powered bicycle. I will try to get a pic of it going down the dragstrip on Saturday. Should be lots of fun to watch.


This is one of our favorite campsites. These folks go all out. They must be professional campers!


This is a motorcycle with a flame thrower on it. Pretty cool looking at night! Hard to get a pic of it though.

Today started out kinda slow because of some sprinkles. But once we got going we sure had a good time. This guy and some of his buddies saw our trikes sitting out and come over to see what they were. I had to take a picture of his t-shirt because it is awesome!


The event organizers got Team Extreme to come out and do 2 or 3 "shows" for us. They are a group of guys who do stunts and tricks on their sport bikes. It was pretty cool.







This is one of the Team Extreme riders and his girlfrien. He put his helmet on her and told her where and how to shift but he was actually driving from that position.

The guys who run the track let me go up on their tower to video tape Ron's run since I got overwhelmed by smoke during the last one. So here is a link to a video from another perspective.

Aussie, I didn't make any runs at Conesville with the Hoosier slicks
because I had planned on racing at Eddyville Dragway today. A local
Victory dealer rents the track and the rules get a bit looser. But
due to heavy rains it got cancelled for the second time in a row.

They have 3 more of these events later this year and I will be
sure to attend. Still hoping to get that 5 second 1/8th mile
as it sure ain't gonna happen making pink smoke clouds at Conesville.

Hey folks, the Strong Arm guy took a video of Ron at Conesville and he was on the other side of the track so the smoke didn't over run him. Check it out.
