Cool stuff ...was fun doing this and waiting for the end result. Nobody wanted their face online so I was nominated...not a big deal.

There are a few more being done and they will come up on Facebook and Youtube when someone in our area searches Youtube videos and they have searched motorcycle before...Facebook works the same...not sure exactly how that works but they guarantee hits and watches.

Haven't I seen you somewhere before on TV? Oh, yeah......even though you're Canadian I think it was an episode of America's Most Wanted. But I seem to remember your hands were stuck together by some bracelet thing as you held them in front of your face ducking past the camera.

Nice job on the ad. You even seem trustworthy! :ten:

I have had to hire a Promotions Secretary to handle all the incoming calls from around the world for spots in commercials and a couple offers for movies...who would have thought???

Actually..it is pretty cool how many hits we are getting from this one advertisement...seems so far like money well spent.

Now I need to do one for hiring. In the past month since I have been home we have offered a front end position to 3 ladies..all accepted..2 did not show and one phoned in to say NOPE. Young girl started last Tuesday and I believe may be done today...dammit. Employees!!!!! Is it too much to ask for one more great or even "good" person to help Josh and Connull?? I need to keep a good thought I guess and visualize the right person walking in. Hey Don...whatcha doing for the summer dude?? LOL besides moving trikes around the USA for me..

Barry,

Sounds like finding people to work up there is similar to here. I’ve got 25 employees – sometimes it’s like having 25 more kids!

In the last several years, since the recession, I’ve had the best luck with people that are older, have been working stiffs all their life, and don’t want to, or can’t retire. The last two guys I hired a few years ago are 67 & 68… here every day, on time, do their job, keep their mouth shut, and don’t cause trouble.

For a secretary/office staff, I went to a guy years ago. The employees don’t flirt with him, he can’t get pregnant, and doesn’t get sick and grouchy on a monthly basis. It’s worked out well.

Something to think about, just my 2¢

I can assure you, this is one of the things I will NEVER EVER EVER do again... "employees... " I wasn't the best at being a therapist, loan agent then a collection agency, preacher, correctional officer and babysitter all at one time... wore by flippin butt out and retired after 25 years of that nonsense. One of the best days of my life!! Kind of like a boat owner.. the happiest days are buying and selling!!

Interesting / funny comments thanks guys.

DON...Funny thing is this morning I joked about the riding the trike thing but now working on a deal today..(new people never been in and want a trike...really nice transplants from Germany)... might see another trike coming here...will let you know. Daily Direct is always a good option...If you can't no big...BUT the bloody dollar exchange is killing us when we buy something from the US almost 30%...a $30,000 USD trike costs me $39,000 Canuck cash...

Yep, totally agree with the employees bit, a real hit and miss affair, I kept on having to pick up the pieces, it wasn't their own business and they seemed to miss the link between continuous top customer service (and the customers' money) and their salary payments. Maybe it's me and I couldn't delegate tasks well then leave them alone - on reflection I think have been me!

However Barry - if I can quote you - "we have offered a front end position to 3 ladies..all accepted.." I have never tried offering the ladies "front end positions" maybe that's where I went wrong... LOL
