Some quotes:
""Capable of 3,000 HP. Pressure is currently set at 70 lbs and would need to be dialed-up a bit to put big HP to the ground with a racing slick," Bob from Winters said today. They set the pressure at 70 for street bikes so the 1-2 shift doesn't snap your neck. Dialing-up the pressure is easily done, though, if you wanted to race your bike. Winters has 35 cases right now and parts to make 100 units. Available in approx. 8 weeks. The unit pictured above is "the first production unit." Easily can do a burnout in second gear - from a stop. You could also do a burnout in reverse if you wanted. Pricing will be determined by Mountain Boss Hoss soon.

Exciting!!!"

Ricky Dietz....
"At the factory we put about 2500 miles on a demo transmission in our 525hp SS.
We tried to break it as per Winters instructions and couldn't. We took off in second gear countless times on full throttle plus power shifting countless times.
After I / we were done with it Tom removed the tranny and Winters disassembled to inspect, I'm told that the transmission was inspected, mic'd, zero wear or damage was found.”
I asked Bob from Winters if this trans will retrofit. He said that it will absolutely fit all the way back to the 2000 model Boss Hoss bikes. it will fit in our frames with no frame modifications
yes...a true 2 speed gearbox with a true reverse..not just a "helper" reverse like the Nesco...

Bloody Hell Jack! Show BH some love and support and buy a new 2017!!! Have a heart.
OK, I'm mostly joking, but....................
Boss Hoss really needs a lot of support in the form of new bike / trike sales if it is to remain in business. BH needs current BH owners to sell their existing ride to one of their Harley friends and purchase a new 2017 fire-breathing rocket!
Jack, you have a damn sweet ride, definitely one to be admired; I'll allow you an exception and totally understand if you don't want to sell, the rest of you don't have a valid excuse. Wait, you're not the HogV8 Jack I was thinking, you don't have a valid excuse!

I understand completely! The new bikes are badass, just out of my budget. Being in Buffalo and only riding for a few months a year... hard to budget for much more than a home built.
The NESCO in the old '98 went in for updates in 2000 with about 2000 miles on it. When we sold it a few years ago, it was in need of more updates. If this tranny was available last year when I found it for sale again, I would have bought both.

Bike prices are unchanged for 2017 but lots of mechanical, design, and cosmetic upgrades / changes;
SS or Standard w/ Nesco remains $55.9k
SS or Standard w/ optional Winters $59.9k

New for 2017 and is standard on all base models:
Boss Hoss Dominator EFI made by Holley
Boss Hoss Digital Dash made by Holley https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdIEZTQ ... 9V4Gwv39gQ
Meziere heavy-duty H2O pump
Saldana Racing triple pass radiator
All hoses are braided stainless w/ AN threaded fittings
Premium leather seats, pure comfort, top quality
Redesigned fuel tank that more comfortable, narrowed at base and shortened
Redesigned console
New Air intake filter / duct w/ 105mm air passage-way that replaces the "snorkol" from previous models

A few other misc things.
Bottom line is 2017 machines run great, can customize w/ dry NOS system, turbo's, whatever you want, the dash will provide complete diagnostics and all information data regarding the engine, the new leather seats are ultra premium allowing riders to go all-day in comfort; for 2017 you get all of those upgrades and a lot more for the same MSRP as 2016.

Ricky, curious here. Will your new revised air inlet tract assembly fit our LS trike's & bikes & cost for the complete assembly ? How about the MAF sensor, has it been relocated, and is it still chopped up on it's air leaving side ? Is the MAF still the same style or the blade type ?
Thank you Sir, Craig H.

2017 models do not have a MAF sensor and do not use that filter / air duct that was previously used.
No, you can't use it if your engine has MAF.
