Had the guys do my fork seals Wednesday and they also installed a new front tire...the trike specific Avon Cobra

I noticed a difference in my 200 mile ride today. Seems better in the straight and seemed also better in the highway corners...more stable and better steering control...felt different in a good way around the corners...hard to explain but I believe 100% worth using that tire especially on the Boss Hoss trike.

They also did the front brakes and I need to find exactly what they used because I have never ever had braking like this up front.

Could it be the tyre assisting braking ? Just a thought. Is the tyre more squair profile or still round

Pretty darn sure it is not the tire...it is the brakes...

Chatted with Jason who did the brakes and he explained something they do that even on Harleys customers come back and compliment that their brakes work AWESOME...

AS LONG AS THE ROTORS ARE STAINLESS STEEL, you'll be fine. I tried the EBC Sintered on the rear of my trike. Best braking power I ever had, except the rear rotors on my 2008 trike are steel. The pads wore out the rotors prematurely. I'm pretty sure the BH front rotors are Stainless Steel. Barry, I'm in the process right now on ordering the new Avon "TRIKE" tire for my trike. Barry, how are those new front brake pads as far as brake dust goes? Is there more brake dust than the BH pads?

From what I have ridden so far I would say less dust than before....need more riding to be sure.

BUT with the riding so far on the front tire my gut feeling is that I would highly recommend it. Seems to have a solider feel even thought the 502 is 1,000 lbs in front and solid anyways.

Gordon, the EBC Sinstered Double H pads are more aggressive than semi-metallic Brembo Factory Boss Hoss pads. That being said, the rotor life is shortened. So it's a trade off. Excellent braking, less rotor life vs. Very good braking and longer rotor life. It's up to the individual how short or long of an interval between changing rotors and brake pads.

Try "revzilla" I got mine through them. I think I got a great deal$$$$

Gordon, we are talking about the Avon TRIKE tire prices, NOT rotor prices. I don't even know if Revzilla sells rotors for a BH.

Usually try to keep it between at least 45 and 47 lbs...it is a Bigblock
