Hi all, I know from a search this subject has been covered many times and I know that if worried about MPG this is the wrong vehicle to own. However it would be nice to know all is well in the furling department. So I had cause to do a 500 mile round trip on Sunday mostly motorway and duel carriageway averaging 70 MPH. I kept all the fuel receipts and finished on pretty much empty. It works out at 23 MPG Imperial that's 27.6 US . That was two up and kit. Saw the ton a couple of times as well. I thought the trike was running rich but the figures seem to be about there from the search. SB trike with a 1901 carb ??
Stupid question time, are US gallons the same as Canadian ?? Thanks

That's a good result Paul, I managed 25 mpg returning home from our meet recently but that's not good compared to a Trike ~ if you're managing those numbers!

I have gotten as good as 9.8 liters per 100 KM. Many times I've made 10 liters per 100 KM. That works out to real close to 30 MPG Imperial. A US gallon is smaller so it works out to about 26 MPG US.

That's one up, me only on the bike. I cant do that well 2 up. :canada:

A Canadian gallon os about 20% bigger than a US gallon.

Nothing wrong at all with your trike mileage.
