I think this is a wonderful idea! I am always excited to see pics from any rides, tours, etc. anyone takes, and this will be the perfect place to post and treasure memories for many of us. We head to Key West on the bikes every spring, and we are headed that way next Saturday on the Boss. This will be the fourth year that me and the Boss Hoss have made the Key West run, and it is an awesome ride that I can't wait to get started on! From here in east Tennessee, it is approximately an 18-hour ride, and we ride straight through. As soon as we get back, and get the pics together, I will post some. (Anyone that wants to come or meet up is invited also!)

I know what you mean.... The housing market really killed the construction business here. The car dealer business is way slow too but so far we have been hanging in there. Look forward to some play time.

What better chance to tell everyone about my first ride on a Boss Hoss. About two weeks ago Wildman and me decided to head south out of Santa Fe on Hwy 14. There's a great little watering hole in Madrid, NM called the Mine Shaft. Madrid's a quiet little old mining town in the mountains. Except on Sundays when hundreds of us crazed bikers invade! Before the trip I was asked if I'd like to throw a leg over (and I do mean over) Wm's Boss. He allowed me to ride it to Madrid. It was the ride of a lifetime as you V-8 riders already know. I was peaking with excitement. I can't tell you how acute my senses suddenly became as I anticipated rolling the throttle back on this monster. Quite carefully and deliberately at first, but the bike is very confidence inspiring. Soon I was throwing it into the corners and rolling on the gas just shredding down the straights. Man this thing is brutally quick. It accelerated faster than my feeble mind could keep up. When we quickly arrived at the bar :) WM asked if I wanted to stay on the beast. I politely declined. You see my jacket no longer fit as my arms were now six inches longer than my sleeves. Thx WM!!!

Longer Taller Casper

I wanted to post my Oklahoma trip to V8Choppers and Stan on here but haven't yet got it squared away on transferring pictures from my phone camera to my computer. Grrrrrr :x . The narratives without the pictures suck for readers. Got some nice shots of the original old Route 66 going right through Stan's town (Miami, Ok.) and a few in the shop of my bike stripped down, an incredible custom show V8 chopper, the worlds biggest McDonalds, etc. I'll keep trying to figure it out and get it posted.

Mike (Eastern Tenn.).... do you know about the Peterson Poker Run to Key West in September? Tens of thousands of bikes. A mini Daytona but even better because Daytona ain't no Key West and lots less people. I've done that one on and off for years. Only wrinkle tends to be weather as September and specifically the days of the run are almost always punctuated by rain on and off. I'm really envious of your trip. Smooth sailing and LOTS of pictures expected.

Hallo Uwe,

Wild Casper and Wildman at the famous "Pantry" cafe in Sante Fe for Breakfast, the riding is great here.
What was really unique about this restauraunt and the picture just dosen't illustrate is the fact that the hungry folks behind us were constantly taunting, be-smerching, harrassing us and yes, even farting in a feeble attempt to make us hurry up. You see by verbally abusing us they thought we would quickly finish our breakfast and leave. Silly hungry folks. WM and me simply revelled in the attention, then ordered desert and another round!!!
