UPDATE on Gas shortage to and In Paris TN!

Post by Butterfly »

Okay, been calling around to some friends and talking to the truckers.

There is more gas out there (here in the South)now, but it is patchy. Some have reg and Diesel, some have all, some just have reg. Southeastern TN is hard to find fuel and premium..but I am told there is some there. Atlanta is patchy but you can find fuel and gas. Birmingham AL seems to have plenty of diesel and reg, but hard to find Premium..but it's there. Montgomery, Al is doing pretty good for all..but as I said it is patchy...so if you are traveling just don't get under 1/2 a tank if you can help it.. .just finding what you need is the hard part.....All drive safe and take notes as to where you find what you need to get to Paris.... for your return trip home.

Have Fun...and take care..and have a cold one for Eagle and I....

UPDATE!!!!!!
I'm in Paris now. The station nearest the park has 1200 gallons of 93 left and aren't sure when more is coming. The BP about 10 miles towards town also has 93 and 89. The Shell and several others have 87 only. I think we have enough to survive the weekend but there is a shortage here.

It seems that the Truck stops on the interstates have reg and Diesel...so most will be fine....those of you riding your Bikes/Trikes that use premium may want to add some octane boost to your traveling pack. Some of the others are or have used this with reg (87) and had no trouble with their Bikes. Don't know much about octane boost....back in the old days my uncles would use mothballs, adding them to the gas to up the power in their cars for hauling Moonshine....

Have a safe trip and lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I believe Rob is in the air right now,
on his way to St. Louis, then Paris.
