Good work Pom! ;)

Steve,

Over the years i recall a few 'gitts' with V8 bikes. There was 'Les Armes' around several years ago..he was a bit of a UK V8 pioneer. 'Chris' & his son who was in Pullman City rally '07 and New Zealand recently have 2, and of course our infrequent but very enthusiastic visitor 'Jimbo / Tazz' depending on the day who being one of your upper crust has had Kannon's in the past and is now hung up on V8 choppers.

welcome aboard and we'll talk tyres with you anyday bro!

Aussie Rob.

Maybe I got it wrong, I think its a 350, but doesn't that work out 5.7?
I wanted to go wider on the rear and noticed some of you run car tyres, why is that please? I built a V Max and V Rod both with 330 rears.

350 is Chevy,yours is Ford and if it´s 5,7 it is 351.

I have MC tire (230) in my Kannon, and 275 car tire in Boss Hoss.I like both of them. That car tire looks much better, but it´s sometimes little scary to ride if the tarmac is groovy.

Steve...its personal preference and riding style I guess. If you want a canyon carver stick with the 230 or so wide tyres if you want better drag performance go with a drag radial car tyre, if you want blow-me looks, get a micky thompson 330 (13 inch) sportsman   Gotta love the car tyre look...the Euro's are really into it and make a good job of making proper rims to suit offset etc. Wide mc tyre kits are available from some of the Boss Hoss dealers but I dont know if they would fit a Kannon off the shelf..prolly not. For me the right sized and profiled car tyre works both for looks and my style.

Aussie.

btw...in Aus they sed to call the 351 a 5.8...i think it was just to piss GM off

Welcome to another Brit! Sure have made a good friend of one of your countrymen, Jimbo. If you guys live anywhere in the same part of England you should get together. He's very knowledgeable and a great guy having had Kannons, Bosses, and a V8Chopper that I believe is currently or soon to be for sale.

This was one built by my friend Si Harris, I made the rear wheel, 15"x15" with a 345 tyre, unfortunately it was unrideable so he cut the back end off and fitted a 300 avon.

Aldo, that was expectable. He uses to buy good bikes from the US, ship them over the pond, build them up from the ground and, for whatever reason, sells them when they are ready.

I'm curious with what next cool bike Russ comes to Pullman in summer!!

Welcome Hossrider. Are you the same "Hossrider" that used to be on the old Yahoo site?

In Kannon brochure it says 310hp.
