I got the magazine today too, 9th annual Boss Hoss NAtional Rally Paris Landing State Park. First route I checked from Dyersburg shows about 85 miles east.

Kicking around going to the rally this year . Does anyone know why it moved.? New location looks like a quiet little town. Not the kind of place we are used to going on the bikes[ lights out at 9:00] :)

Seems to me the setup for the rally should be an improvement. The only bad thing in Dyersburg was that everything was spread around town (factory, square, On The Rocks, and motels). The new location should get vendors, motels, campers, banquets all into a closer area. I am looking forward to seeing their plans for a rally schedule.

When time gets a little closer, we will know if we can make it. If we do we will more than likely be staying at the Econo Lodge in Paris....they allow our kids and have a lounge and are $30 cheaper than the State Park one. Econo is about 15.5 miles from the park, just a hop and skip down the road! Maybe just a big jump for the bikes.
http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-372455-traveler_s_inn-i I am still searching, but so far this is the only place that the kids can come to. When it gets closer, I can really nail it down :)

Was talking to a customer of mine from Texas and she claims that there is to be NO SMOKING at all in the state park and all the rooms are non-smoking. Anybody know anything about this?

Thanks Boom, I'm sure it is beautiful! I can't wait either, not that the non smoking thing will stop us from going, but was curious. Will do some more checking on it. Plus it's not like we stay in the room all the time!!!

Someone asked why the location had been changed this year. I heard on very good authority that the Dyerburgh Town council and the Boss Hoss people got into a discussion about open containers and selling beer on the square. On the city council is a MADD council-woman, which the other members listen to, and swayed all the voting on this matter.

If there was a M.A.D.D. rep in the decision-making group, maybe a NEW group should be started here???...called D.A.M.M.

Poof:

Let's See:

Was the mother drunk when she made the drunk, or did the drunk become
a drunk after the mother made the drunk, and then the mother became a drunk.

I am not making light of the MADD issue, but as always happens, I think they
have taken it to extremes.........

PS- Sounds like the Paris location is gonna be a fun time.

ALCON,

Ya'll haven't heard much about the B-Fly and I going yet because we don't know if I'll be here (on this side of the planet). They (The Army) keep jerking me around and won't make a decision. "Right Now" it looks like I might be here. If we go, the O'G was looking at a place (Hotel) just down the road a piece that doesn't apply "Park Rules". I'll have to talk to her and see if she wishes to get "all involved" again. She still hasn't taken any credit for last year. She apparently doesn't realise, "she done good" even though I've told her so. Wish us luck!

I didn't do anything more or less than anyone else there!!!!! We ALL pitched in and made it a great time.....Again Eagle, It took all of us to make the Rally happen, WE ALL did our part.

Thanks Tom....but as I said I didn't do anymore than you or anyone else did there. :D

As for this year, we will just have to wait and see. If we do go we will stay in Parris at the Econo Lodge if there is room.

I had an awesome time last year and will certainly try to make it this year. Bear, Carmen, Billy and Phyllis did so much to make the parking lot party a success... they better be there this year!!!

Hi everybody,

I was at the BH factory this afternoon, and Kim says there
are currently 57 signed-up/registered for the rally.
( I KNOW there are more registered at Paris already! )
Please send your registration(s) to Kim real soon.
You can e-mail Kim with your questions at:
kimwelch@bosshoss.com and she will be glad
to answer your questions, and take care of
your registration.
She also said that if everyone gets registered early,
then when you get to the rally, all she has to do is
find your name, check it off, and hand you your
goody-bag/t-shirt-n-stuff. You won't have to
wait in line long at all. ( More time for drinking and visiting! )
She also said that it is a little less costly if you
register by the end of August. I believe the price
of registration goes up in early September.
6 weeks to go! Woo Hoo! :D
