Stock Distributor???? 2/29/08

How do we know if we have a stock disturber or not? Here is a picture of the one on the Beast. Is it a stock one? If not how do we find out what it is?

Looks like the stock DUI unit that comes on a big block. Not a stock GM part in that boss hoss has Davis unified ignition (DUI) modify them. I say that because it has no vacuum advance on it. They are usually marked with a sticker on top but I see your doesn`t have one. To find out for sure, take the cap and rotor off and see if it has a DUI label on the module.
