Gas Mileage

CarbyMike .We have a carburated 2005 trike with the 350 - 355 HP My ? is can you work any magic to get better gas mileage and still keep it as a 4 barrel carb. Installed the K&N type air filter and straight pipes with no or little improvement.
Don't trailer the trike just use it for cruising & touring.

How bad is the mileage? What carb do you have? I can make the Quadrajet run strong and give you mileage as well, IF you take it easy.

Carby Mike - I get about 18 mpg [keeping it at 60mph] if we baby it. When we run with a group we are hitting 75 and thats when it takes a nose dive on the mileage.
I thought in 2005 they used the Quadrajets but not sure. How can I tell ?

Hi Howie, Take a flash light and look under the tank. It looks like this and has a red tag on the front that reads Edelbrock, and another alum. tag at the top of the left rear that reads 1901.
