LS 470 for Berzerker

Just ordered this engine for Berzerker from Mast Motorsports and expect engine to be ready in February, then off to have custom sheet metal intake built, then re-wire the bike.

Berzerker went through 3 engines for a grand total of 1852 miles with engine #3 seizing.

Mast only manufactures and builds LS stuff / engines; no Ford, Mopar, Big Block Chevy. etc, purely LS. Mast is the LS engine expert. They manufacture many LS parts to include heads, cams, etc.

Grand,
WOW! - incredible build and premium parts going in, very impressive HP and TQ numbers, 8,500 red line and pump gas.
That is going to be one sick setup, really looking forward to reading the progress on this. Please keep us posted with photos
if possible.

Also, can you post a new avatar? When the the site hosting was transferred a while back, many avatars were lost.
I need too do mine too

Thanks

The dyno sheet is from a Mast Motorsports LS-466 on pump gas, Hillborn fuel injection, and Mozez heads.
My engine will not have the Mozez heads as it requires a tall, vertical sheet metal intake manifold; the Mozez heads are full blown racing heads.
My heads will be the LS-7 305cc and will not make as much power but I was told it should dyno just over 800HP with the horizontal sheet metal intake manifold that I will have.
I suspect my power curve will be similar.

I also attached the dyno from my previous Speed-O-Motive LS-430 engine that was in my bike. This engine had a Edelbrock Victor Jr intake manifold which was unfortunately the tallest intake we could fit and HP was limited to 600hp just as Edelbrock claimed; that was the compromise, my new engine will NOT HAVE ANY COMPROMISES aside from not having the Mozez heads.

Rick:

Couldn't help but notice the 8.27 AFR on the right bank
of the old engine dyno pull.

Talk about pig fat....

Think there was more HP to be had, but maybe that was
just the first pull.....dunno

Geez

I doubt that 8.27 afr is legit as it is consistent from beginning to end of dyno pull. I honestly don't know why and never asked them about that AFR.
;bullshit:

It's been a long time since I ordered the engine in mid-December, but it's FINALLY together and headed to the dyno in a few days.
The long delay was due to the 4 mon. lead time on billet crank and rods and Mast failing to send the heads off for polishing.
The intake / throttle body and the rocker covers/coils aren't mine; just a loaner to allow engine dyno, mine will be custom fitted sheet metal w/ a 105mm Wilson throttle body.
Will post the dyno sheets, etc once they email it to me.

Anxious to see the dyno run/numbers, that engine is a monster on paper for sure ... I'm sure it will be worth the long wait you've had. BTW your much more patient then I would/could be ...

Mast message to me;

This thing sounds BAD ASS!

We made just over 737hp and 605tq through a 90mm throttle! The engine has much more in it but it needs a bigger throttle and better intake which You will be adding!

Sweet!
I have a shiny, new Wilson 105mm waiting at home for it.
I will have Beck Racing / TRE Racing build the sheet metal intake.

It didn't make the 800+ HP I hoped for, but 1.57 HP / cu.in. not too shabby for a NA motor.

I installed the tall deck LS-470 engine last night, Berzerker now loaded into trailer for trip to TRE for custom intake manifold.

Looks Wild , I see you have what looks like a electric water pump on the front of the engine , won't that interfere with your radiator ?

Yup, will interfere BIG-TIME and would not be possible if using original BH set-up.
My new radiator from Rons' Radiator will be set forward a few inches; my Weldon Racing or Magnafuel fuel pump will be placed where the BH waterpump previously sat.

When the bike project is done, would you like some help painting your garage?!?!

In all seriousness, you are gonna have one helluva screamer on your hands when this is done!

You know what? I never noticed that it was pink until your post regarding paint and looking at the pics I posted!!
It's not my garage; it's my cousins garage, I'll have to bring the pink paint to his attention!! LOL

Glad you're making progress Ricky, should be awesome, and I didn't notice the pink walls either, now that's all I see, even when I look away. :)

I just bought this used Kinsler cross ram set-up at a steal, only $3k! Retails for $8k
This is exotic shit, Le Mans, Indy, etc.
http://www.kinsler.com/page--Home-Page--13.html

I hope it fits, pretty sure it will; FedEx to deliver Friday.
If it does fit, will put the brakes on the TRE sheet metal.

It does have filters!
