Tire will not hold air for very long. Where can I get one??
You were correct.... I cleaned the bad parts up. then I bought this stuff for $27.00 so far no leaks, less than one day. This just started after I used Runflat. 2 tires ago. The person that changed my tire recommended it. Never using that again!!!!!!Foose1986 wrote:That's a pretty easy fix, just a little corrosion. When I used to be a tire buster at Goodyear in college, I saw that all the time on chromed rims. You can take an abrasive wheel and smooth it out, then apply a grease (tire shops have it) to seal it up. It was always a pain when people powdercoated their entire rims since it was such a rough surface. A lot of times the bead wouldn't seat because there was so much friction from the powercoat.
Don't junk the rim, it can be easily sealed up.
I still think a tube is an easy / cheap / permanent fix. I may be interested in the rim..will think on it.V8Norm wrote:You were correct....
