Early 2000's Boss Hoss Rewire Questions

Has anyone here rewired their early 2000's Boss Hoss? Are there any parts or tips that you can recommend, such as blocks/harnesses/printed wire sets that state the function of the wire (not a gauge legend), like on the factory wires?

One major pain I would like to eliminate is the 3 or 4 large block-type harnesses that are in the neck of the frame just above the thermostat housing. They make effective troubleshooting right next to impossible. My Hoss does not have a junction beneath the seat as I've seen on a few others.

I've already replaced the factory fuse block with a Blue Seas model, but that's all I've done with regard to rewiring anything.

Any information or photo's you could share would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not looking for any wire diagrams, just experienced ideas on how to get rid of those harnesses at the neck of the Hoss and clean up the mess with the right substitutes.

Thank you!

Painless or Ron Frances wire kit for a basic
hot rod. Should have everything you need.
Pretty all the wires will have the function
printed on each wire...

I did away with those big cloddy plugs and replaced them with a terminal strip , in on side of the strip , out on the other side of the strip and made a diagram of what function each wire on the strip has . I think there were 14 wires in and out .

That sounds like a worthwhile plan to me! Thank you!

It looks like this might be in the right ballpark:

NTE Electronics 25-B600-20 Series Terminal Block Barrier Strip, Dual Row Panel Mount, 25 Amp, 20 Pole, 11.00 mm Pitch, 300V, 22-12 AWG Wire Range

The photo is of a 10 pole version. The site didn't have a pic of the 20 pole.

Good deal , if you make sketch stating what each wire/terminal is for it make diagnosing an electrical problem much easier .
