2005 trike speedometer jumps to 40 mph when going 10 then jumps to 100 when doing 60 mph. went through wiring on the road it seems fine. Going to ck the sensor with feeler gauge tommorow. [.004 in manual] Its may be time for a new speedo ?

Sounds similar to mine when it went bad. Check everything you can then send it to Autometer for repair. They replaced mine for free. My odometer still worked fine when the speedometer did similar things which indicated the speed sensor was reading.

try to keep the wire away from the distributer as far as possible (like on the outside of the frame)

Recalibrated speedo and everything seems OK. Got the info from wags site. Learned not to zero out tripometer until the trike is moving. Another lesson learned in the B.H. experiment.
