I've yet to see one finished product or part that comes from China and is worth a shit. We send stuff over for them to cheaply manufacture, they then steal our ideas and technology and put it together with cheap labor and shit material. I personally won't buy food or toy products for my dogs that have a "Made in China" label so the thought of anything like shown would be completely out of the question regardless of how cheap it can be purchased.
I'm sure I don't represent the mainstream and as Wal-Mart has proven, there are millions who buy Chinese simply because it's cheap.

Elliot...you are bang on...us older folks think that way but the younger under 30 generation are Walmart shoppers...CHEAP products please and if it breaks I will buy another...but at least it was cheap.
We sold a line of Chinese ATV's for a year and they were "not bad" but I would really like it if they came out with "as good as" anything else.

If you look at the last one, there is a Swiss HP on the Quad.CanuckHoss wrote:Had a guy by the shop friday fro us to become a dealer for a Chinese version..

It really is a Swiss company which takes the motor of a BMW 1200 to build this Quad.
The painter who did paint my Boss Hoss paints their products as well.
They really go like a rocket...

Barry,
I hear you and you are right. I blew a fuse in a Pet Supermarket a few weeks ago over this issue. Hence my using "dog toys" as an example.
Not only were all the toys stamped "Made in China", but the dried pig's ears and dehydrated chicken strips were. The cashier (18 years old and tattooed and pierced to the hilt) called the manager over because I was bitching so bad when she asked; "did you find everything ok?" I had told her; "hell no, I couldn't find one f'ing American made product except for Purina dog food!" I then asked the manager why they were selling Chinese produced chicken and pig's ears in a state that is in the top 3 producing levels in the entire country for both those products. He said it was all about the customers enjoying the lowest price. I said I would gladly pay more for either product knowing it was produced locally. And we're having record unemployment in my state? Unreal. Pigs and chickens from China are probably fed shit or worse and this is what I'm giving to my dogs?
Whether bearings, stainless steel, chrome, ...just about anything that is stamped "Made in China", I've found it to be substandard relative to the same product coming from North America. If Wal-Mart as an example were to forfeit all their Made in China crap and buy American, we'd probably get rid of the unemployment problem and trade deficit.
Sorry, just another soap box to stand on. If it were the other site it would surely get blitzed or moved. I'll go back to talking bikes. I only looked at the first link you sent. I'll look at the rest as I'm sure they're probably pretty cool and a blast to ride. Best...

Got to agree with you Elliot ... I figure we've lost enough of our jobs and money to CHEAP JUNK imports, I try and keep my money as local as possible. The sad part is it is getting harder and harder every year
