For the benefit of those insular types, Australia contains 6 states and 2 territories as depicted by this map,
Raining here today so had a brainstorming session with the Aussie Boss Hoss dealer on how many V8 Bikes are on Australian roads....Last known count per State / Territory we think it is as follows;
* New South Wales (4)
'97' sb - Young, Country NSW
'01' sb cruiser - Aussie Rob , Sydney
'03' sb tourer - Ken Jacobs, Sydney
'02' bb - not registered for road use
* Victoria (est. 8)
'96' sb - Tmac, Melbourne (Dealer)
'07' bb - Tmac, ditto
'07' bb - Melbourne, Steve (Cool real-flame paint job!)
LS2 in the workshop as we speak/write/whatever!
+ estimate 4 additional post 2004 models in Victoria - TBC
* Queensland (est. 5)
'08' SS sb - for Sale
+ estimate 4 additional post 2004 models in Queensland - TBC
* South Australia (1)
1 only 'Kanon' homebuilt hybrid made by Zaphod Bebblebrox (name could be wrong)
*Western Australia (1)
1 '97' - last owned by mad Irishman in Perth
1 '97' wreck probably not in existence any more.
* ACT, Tassie, NT, (0 to date)
So, all up we think we got 18 Boss Hoss's, 1 Kanon, and an UNKNOWN number of Barbarian V8 bikes on the road. All the above will be edited as I get better info but as of today 3 Feb 08, thats where I reckon we at.
Feel free to chip-in or message me if you know better.
Aussie Rob.

Re: AUSTRALIA
I dont know Wildman...I did a 'IP' address search on him once and found him wandering about South East Queensland & thats pretty close to where they make V8 bikes Aussie style so he's probably up that way. As you so noted its a fair sized Island with not many V8 bikes so chances are I'll never cross paths with him.wildman wrote:Strange, Aussie Rob that Ozzie Bob the "ghost" from Canberra is not that far from you. You ever hear any more about this elusive character? WM
Tom, I never seen a Drysdale on the road either...supposed to be some but I dont go to local rallys much so cant speak with authority. Theres supposed to be that other LS1 'Predator' Trike maker north of Sydney, he also made 1 or 2 but dont think they are on the road. For every 'on the road registered' V8 bike down here there would probably be 100 sitting in workshops I reckon. Our licencing rules are pretty tough!
